Well you savvy Ichimoku Analyst/Traders out there… It’s almost the 4th of July. Some of you may still be recovering from standing in line for the cunning new iPhone - OR some of you may be hung over from the weekend of “pre-fourth” celebrations - In any regard, me personally… will be relaxing, watching pips run by my window.
A Pip.
Average Speed: 325mph
Size: .0001 mm
Weight: 0.003 kg
Habitation: The pip is generally found within the volatile forex jungles all over the world. Pips can be observed in the accounts of Ichimoku Kinko Hyo Analyst/Traders, who often hunt them as Prize Game. These pips that are found in captivity are generally domesticated, and managed under very disciplined environments, seldom escaping.
Eating Habits: Pips can eat other pips if improperly managed. Where you find groups of pips, commonly in captivity, you will often encounter pips eating pips, when they are not properly managed and fed patience and of course discipline.
Happy 4th of July!

This analysis is best suited for a Swing Trader style and should be excuted using a 1D (time frame). My preferred sentiment for this anaysis is BULL/BUY, however; In the case that the analyzed currency pair has the potential to breach opposing key levels and changing sentiment, I have included scenarios for both Bull (Buy) and Bear (Sell) executions.

Looking over my currency pairs it looks like a pretty busy week ahead as it pertains to observation. I have 9 currency pairs that I am looking at and have set up Alarm systems to give me an insight as to the directional momentum of each of. My List for the week includes:
EUR/USD
AUD/NZD
USD/CAD
EUR/GBP
GBP/USD
EUR/AUD
USD/JPY
GBP/CHF
SGD/JPY
If you are trading any of these currency pairs I will be doing my best to publish analysis and trade plans for each as alarms are triggered at defined key levels..

When you have gotten down the road in your profession and you start to see the fruits of your labor – there is nothing like the reports that you get from your students, mentorees, and other Professionals that you have had the blessing to meet. It is “these” conversations that confirm in your spirit – that give you that “okay” that you have been looking for – to make it easier for you to deal with the trials of the weeks and months to come – all for the “glory” of being able to say –
“I helped someone become a better Analyst – and a far better Trader…”
On Friday – I was talking to one of my Mentorees and he share with me a photo of a camping trip that he had recently been on with a friend – It was not the idea that only a few weeks before this “camping trip” his trading career had been in a “rut” and that he was what I call a “Monitor Slave” chasing pips and causing himself an early “dirt nap” without knowing it – however; his mental state was that of one who if not changed in short order – would turn to ruin. Don’t worry about what the markets are going to do, worry about what you are going to do in response to the markets.

The Cable flirted with our key level of 1.9928 and fell back below this level not giving us the “green light” for the climb higher - I still feel that a close above this key level will give us firm enough ground for the upward momentum that we need - Continue Reading »

Looking deeper into the set-up of the recent Kumo break by the Cable, not the fact that I have gotten about 5 emails from other Ichimoku Analyst that are concerned about the state of the Kijun-sen and the Tenkan sen and the forward project Kumo - that are relevant on the 1D chart - but the fact that I too am pretty concerned. Not to the analysis per-say but I am a bit concerned about the overall sentiment of this currency pair and it’s “actual” health.. Continue Reading »
